Densepack: Quality Assurance

02/08/2012 - 10:30am - 12:00pm

Learn techniques for blowing cellulose insulation at a density that prevents settling, and maximizes R-value and air sealing benefits. Discover how voltage to the insulation blower and the correct amount of air help achieve a “dense pack”. Learn tips to increase production to a maximum when opening cavities and dense packing. Learn how the use of infrared thermography can identify poor or missing insulation and assure your installations are complete. Take advantage of this opportunity to find ways to increase your ability to identify and address key junctures and reduce thermal defects.

By attending this session, participants will

1. Learn how to install dense pack cellulose correctly and quickly
2. Recognize the importance of installation technique, machine settings, and power quality
3. Discover how to verify results of dense packing with infrared cameras
