NYSERDA QA System & Contractor Evaluation: Overview & Future

An overview of the systemic approach to Quality Assurance employed by NYSERDA across a variety of programs including Home Performance, EmPower, Energy Star Homes and Solar. Presentation will include: an explanation of the rationale for a system, a description of its key components, a discussion of how the results are used to both ensure both corrective action and improved program performance and the creation of contractor evaluations and peer group comparisons.

By attending this session, participants will

1. Understand both the underlying principles and the importance of a comprehensive Quality Assurance system and how a well defined and objective approach provides guidance and ensures consistent high quality results
2. Understand the difference between systemic improvement and corrective action
3. Understand the basis for developing a comprehensive evaluation of contractor performance and peer group rankings as an improvement and recognition tool
