Introduction to Combustion Heating Systems: Identifying Components (Oil & Gas)

02/08/2012 - 3:30pm - 5:00pm

Do you ever look at a furnace or boiler and wonder what you are looking at? Do you wonder what combustion safety tests need to be done on different types of heating systems and why? If you are interested in understanding the evolution of gas forced air heating systems, come to this session. Identification and understanding of operation and safety controls will also be covered in this session. A flame retention head oil burner and a conventional oil burner will be fired up and demonstrated.

By attending this session, participants will

1. Learn to identify operating controls and safety controls
2. Hear and see how gas furnace efficiency improved over time
3. Learn the sequence of operation for 70, 80 and 90 percent efficient furnaces
